A day to slow down, spend time with books, and make room for the stories that stay with us.
A day of unhurried reading, thoughtful conversations and the rare pleasure of having nowhere else to be.
Time to read without turning it into another task to finish.
Discover how a character’s story might help you see something in your own life differently.
Share what you’re reading, listen to other perspectives, or simply enjoy being among people who love stories.
Leave with a book chosen through our small, anonymous book-sharing ritual.
This day is for anyone who misses having time to read, loves getting lost in a story, or wants a little breathing room from the pace of everyday life.
You might be a lifelong reader, someone who has struggled to finish a book lately, or someone who wants to rediscover the pleasure of reading without pressure.
You don’t need to know anything about literature, be comfortable speaking in a group, or have a particular book in mind. Curiosity is enough.
A book to read: Bring something you’re reading, something you’ve been meaning to start, or choose one from the curated list we will send out beforehand
A book to giveaway: Bring a book that has touched you in some way. Pass this on to the next person to share your experience.
Something to write with: A notebook and pen, if you like jotting down thoughts or lines that stay with you
Comfortable clothing: Come dressed for a relaxed day of sitting, reading and perhaps spending a little time outdoors
An open mind: There’s nothing to prepare, no reading list to complete and no expectation to share anything personal.

A book club where everyone has to read the same book
A workshop with exercises to complete

A place to date or network
For one-to-one care, book a therapist.
No. Bring your own book and read at your own pace. This isn’t a book club centred on one title, and you won’t need to read anything beforehand.
No. Conversations are invitations, not obligations. You can contribute, ask questions, or simply listen. You won’t be asked to share anything you’d prefer to keep private.
There are no other activities planned apart from a short leisurely walk depending on the weather.
That’s perfectly fine. There’s no requirement to read continuously. You can take breaks, look around, or simply enjoy being in a space where reading is happening without pressure.
